With our Large Print editions selling well over the summer, we decided to make that format available for all of our novellas, novels, and collections (when possible, more on that later). We’re delighted to have this format available for anyone who needs or just wants it.
We’re delighted to announce Spiral Publishing author Kari Kilgore’s first professional short story sale is now available in Fiction River: Superstitious! “The Worry Trap” is the first of several stories set in her native Appalachia that will be appearing over the next few months. The entire collection is wonderfully touching, creepy, and entertaining, and perfect October reading.
Speaking of seasonally appropriate reading, both Kari and Jason A. Adams are featured in the upcoming 2019 Holiday Spectacular from WMG Publishing. This exciting project will deliver a new holiday-themed story from the best short fiction writers working today directly to your inbox for 35 days (or to the inbox of anyone else you choose).
Jason and I will both be out and about this Saturday, October 12, for Indie Author Day!
I’ll be at the Russell County Public Library in Lebanon from 10 to 3. Jason will be at the Arts Depot in Abingdon for a kid-themed day from 10-2.
Speaking of November, Jason and I are part of a wonderful holiday-themed project that will feature 35 short stories by some of our favorite writers and good friends! And these range from sweet holiday romances to moving winter holiday tales all the way to bloody holiday mysteries, so no matter your own feelings about this time of year, we’ve got you covered.
We’re thrilled to announce Spiral Publishing author Jason A. Adams has his first professional short story sale in a magazine! Issue #7 of Pulphouse Fiction Magazine is available now, with Jason’s story Moulin Rouge.
We’ll let Pulphouse editor Dean Wesley Smith introduce the story and say a bit about Jason’s writing.
SP author Kari Kilgore is taking her turn as featured storyteller at The Infinite Bard with Sensing the Storm! This free story is a prequel to her Storms of Future Past series, featuring one character who’s already in the series and another who stars in an upcoming novella (and possibly more).
The fun of the Racing the Clock Thriller StoryBundle and new attention to Until Death (and the upcoming sequel) has me thinking about where the whole thing started. It’s the most clear example of how my stories are influenced and even wholly inspired by my surroundings, so I dug back into my photos from our two trips to Transylvania to have a look.
